This is a short survey to researchers/professionals/students/people interested in research on Shared Reality, a concept that has been increasingly studied in psychological research and beyond (see Echterhoff, Higgins & Levine, 2009; Higgins et al., 2021, and Echterhoff & Higgins, 2018, for examples of its interdisciplinary nature).
The reason for sending out this survey is that we realized that although the concept is being used more and more every day, there is still no organized network or community aimed at sharing new ideas, study ideas, methods (e.g., relevant measure) and new findings. To foster this endeavor, we are starting to build the ShaRe network.
As an example, we would like to create a community that meets several times per year for an online meeting (e.g., 3 or 4 times). On each occasion, we would like to invite one or two speakers, internal or external to the network, to share for 20-30 minutes their ideas, opinions, insights, proposals for (inter)national collaboration, or anything else they think would be of interest to others in the network. In the near future, as the community grows, we would like to organize an in-person small group meeting.
Would you be willing to be part of a Shared Reality Network (ShaRe)?
If you are still interested, on the following pages we will ask you a few short questions to help us understand what we need to consider in organizing the event. Please click the arrow to proceed.
